Queensland has a well-connected, inclusive and thriving innovation ecosystem
We want to create a well-connected and inclusive innovation ecosystem that delivers jobs and opportunities for everyone in a thriving economy and society.
Inclusivity and diversity are vital elements we need to embrace to build a sustainable Queensland innovation ecosystem. This requires targeted support for our regional, female and First Nations innovators as well as other diverse communities.
The Queensland Chief Entrepreneur and Innovation Advisory Council will provide the leadership and engagement required to accelerate our drive to establish a strong innovation economy.
Objectives
These objectives clarify the actions we need to take to achieve this priority:
- Increase the participation of priority cohorts — including regional, female and First Nations innovators — in the Queensland innovation ecosystem.
- Improve business digital readiness.
- Increase regional economic diversification.
Key initiatives
These initiatives spread across various agencies are just the start — more will be added as the Roadmap continues to get delivered and reviewed. All of the initiatives contribute to achieving the ultimate goals of the Roadmap across different sectors of the economy.
