Discover the fifth priority of our Innovation Roadmap. We need to develop our innovation precincts, places and networks so that researchers, innovators and businesses can collaborate and turn their ideas into innovative products and services. Explore the key initiatives across government for opportunities to participate and prosper.

Outcome

Queensland has world-class innovation infrastructure to drive ideas through to commercialisation, adoption and diffusion

International experience tells us that innovation precincts stimulate new solutions. We need to develop our innovation precincts, places and networks across Queensland so that researchers, innovators and businesses can collaborate and turn their clever ideas into innovative products and services.

Queensland’s state-wide network of innovation hubs will play an important role in growing our regional innovation economy.

Quality digital infrastructure and connectivity is also critical for future regional growth and prosperity across the state.

Objectives

These objectives clarify the actions we need to take to achieve this priority:

  • Position Queensland precincts, places and hubs to reach their full potential for attracting investment and creating jobs.
  • Co-locate innovation precincts and places with research, education and training institutes.
  • Improve digital infrastructure accessibility.
