Six Queensland businesses, all past recipients of Advance Queensland grants, achieved outstanding results at the Premier of Queensland's Export Awards. The prestigious awards celebrate the state's most successful exporters and recognise their contribution to the local and national economy.
Ignite Ideas grant spurs success
Lock Jaw Ladder Grip, a small family business, took home the top prize in the e-commerce category as well as a finalist in the small business and women in International business category. Ignite Ideas funding in 2020 provided them with a $100,000 grant that helped to progress the idea of their Lock Jaw Ladder Grip. Three additional other Ignite Ideas recipients, Sensaweb (Emerging Exporter finalist), Audeara (International Health winner), Gelomics (International Health finalist) were also recognised for their achievements in international markets.
Ryan Aerospace, a Knowledge Transfer Partnerships Program recipient, secured a win in the Advanced Technologies as well as a finalist in the Manufacturing and Advanced Materials and Small Business categories.
Rounding out the list of award winners is Sobah Beverages, a First Nations company producing a range of non-alcoholic craft beers infused with native ingredients. Sobah Beverages has received funding through the Deadly Partnerships and Deadly Deals programs, and took home the top prize in the First Nations category.

One in five Queensland jobs are linked to the export sector and these results highlight the significant impact of
the Advance Queensland grants program in supporting Queensland businesses to achieve export success and contribute to the state's economic prosperity.
