Who is it for?
The Accelerating Female Founders Program – Providers funds organisations to deliver business support initiatives which aim to grow Queensland innovation driven enterprises (IDEs) founded and led by women.
What are the grant/program objectives?
To assist female founders to take their IDEs to the next stage, create connections, and access opportunities that will continue to provide impact to the founder(s) and their business beyond the duration of the program.
What does it involve?
It provides funding to organisations to provide a host of practical business development and technical skills programs for female founders and leaders of innovation to drive enterprises across the state at different stages of their entrepreneurial lifecycle to help them nurture, develop, grow and expand their businesses.
What are the grant/program goals?
The program is focussed on funding businesses and supporting initiatives that foster a pipeline of innovative female founders. The program is designed to increase the number of women participating in the state’s innovation economy.
What will recipients get?
Please note that applications to deliver business support initiatives for Round 2 are now closed.
Queensland female founders and leaders of innovation driven enterprises can apply for Round 2 program participation.

Eligibility criteria
To be eligible for funding, the applicant organisations must at the time of application:
- have an active ABN and be registered for GST
- be Queensland-based (being based in, or having an office located in, Queensland) OR provide the details of Queensland-based subcontractor(s)/key personnel who will be utilised to develop/deliver the business support initiative
- be an organisation (not a sole trader).
