Who is it for?
Startup / Scaleup founders, social enterprises and entrepreneurs headquartered in Queensland.
What are the grant/program objectives?
Provide a limited number of delegate and/or exhibitor tickets for innovation events / festivals to people in our network who will benefit from and add value to the event.
What does it involve?
Applicants submit compelling innovation business cases to request tickets to attend specific innovation events / festivals.
What are the grant/program goals?
- support startup / scaleup founders and innovators to continue their business skills’ development
- innovation capability-building for regions, communities, high-potential industry sectors and Queensland overall
- provide speaking and pitching for investment opportunities
- critical network engagement, collaboration and connections
- contribute to achieving our vision of a connected and inclusive regional innovation ecosystem.
What will recipients get?
Successful applicants get tickets as delegates to innovation events / festivals around Queensland.

Who are we looking for?
Queensland startups, scaleups, entrepreneurs, and innovation driven enterprises from across the state.
What’s on offer?
Tickets to attend Something Fest 2025 as part of the Queensland Government Startup delegation.
Any travel and other expenses associated with attendance are the applicant's responsibility.
Applications close on Friday 25 July 2025.
Applications will be advised of the outcome by Tuesday 5 August 2025.
Eligibility criteria
To be eligible for opportunities, you must:
- be a business, social enterprise, or startup organisation and/or ecosystem enabler headquartered in Queensland
- have an Australian Business Number (ABN)
- have no more than 100 full-time-equivalent employees or not be a subsidiary of a group of companies that has more than 100 FTEs in total
- submit only one application per ABN for each event
- be an enterprise with a focus on embedding innovation and entrepreneurial business models, products or services – and/or building our regional innovation ecosystem
- tell us how attendance and collaboration opportunities at the event match your progression towards your innovative solution – or how it will build capability or enable innovation participation in your region, community or industry sector
- tell us how your attendance and collaboration opportunities at the event will support your contribution to building Queensland’s innovation community.
