Who is it for?

This program is designed for innovative, high-growth Queensland businesses that are past the commercialisation and early growth phases of business and are now preparing for scaleup or are in early scaleup phase.

What are the grant/program objectives?

The program aims to:

  • Attract and retain more innovative businesses in Queensland.
  • Accelerate business growth, propelling innovative businesses to a national and global stage.
  • Increase the value of capital invested in Queensland and innovative enterprises.
  • Create high-value knowledge economy jobs.
  • Boost ecosystem participation of priority cohorts.

What does it involve?

Ignite+ Scale program runs from February to November 2026.

Selected participants will receive:

  • Participation in a three-day UpScale Intensive Lab
  • Tailored support to refine business capabilities

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible for Ignite+ Scale, businesses must be Queensland registered and headquartered, and meet at least four of the five criteria below:

  • Driven by innovative product(s) and/or service(s).
  • Have a well-established market for their innovative product(s) and/or service(s).
  • Be in an advanced growth or early scaleup phase and have, or be developing, a scaleup strategy.
  • Have generated revenue of between $3 million and $50 million in the previous or current financial year.
  • Achieved average three-year *growth rate of more than 20% per annum revenue or job numbers (*Refer to DEFINITIONS – Business Size).

  • AutoGuru – Online marketplace to book car servicing and repairs, together with a maintenance and service platform for fleet managers and leasing companies (FleetGuru).
  • Adapt Modular Homes - Design, prefabricate, transport, and install high-quality modular dwellings tailored for regional and remote areas (part of Campbell Construction Co Pty Ltd).
  • Carbon Asset Solutions - world leader in intelligent data for agriculture and land management, accurately mapping carbon, critical soil data and minerals across large areas.
  • Lock Jaw Ladder Grip (Charlton Innovation) – a patented and trademarked ladder-stabilising device that prevents ladder movement and reduces the risk of falls and injuries.
  • Chronosoft – innovative SaaS solutions for crisis, resilience, and incident management; workforce coordination; and electronic patient care across in Australia and globally.
  • DOCTO Telehealth leverages advanced telehealth technology to break down barriers to medical care and provides patients with efficient and reliable access to specialised medical services.
  • GIS People uses satellite data to help governments and organisations protect water, manage vegetation, identify mineral deposits, and respond faster to natural disasters.
  • IDT Solutions - uses Internet of Things (IoT) data, artificial intelligence (AI), and big data analytics to help cities and businesses develop smart city and Industry 4.0 solutions.
  • Lillelund - female-owned Queensland business that develops, manufactures and markets animal health supplements, including Di-Vetelact (Australia’s premium veterinary milk).
  • Metagen - agricultural biotech, data, and manufacturing company that helps farmers, agri-food enterprises and agronomists unlock the power of the soil microbiome and crop environment.
  • Metromatics - design, manufacture and supply customised outdoor LCD displays, digital bus stops, interactive kiosks, and inclusive public information systems engineered for harsh Australian conditions.
  • Nuvho - tech-enabled commercial hotel management platform that assists hotels to deliver more demand volume at a lower cost of acquisition.
  • Real Serious Games - specialises in extended-reality (XR) training and simulation delivering over 450 projects in multiple sectors that helps teams safely rehearse real tasks inside digital twins.
  • Rocky Point Aquaculture – science-led aquaculture enterprise producing sustainable fish species and proprietary supporting technologies.
