Who is it for?

Queensland organisations that partner with researchers to solve significant problems or issues.

What are the grant/program objectives?

To promote research-business collaboration leading to commercialisation of innovative products and services.

What does it involve?

Funding projects for up to 3 years to support the development of products or services to be market-ready.

What are the grant/program goals?

  • Increase partnerships between research and industry partners and improve research and business collaboration
  • Translate research outcomes into new and innovative services and products
  • Increase expenditure on innovative research and development
  • Increase opportunities for commercialisation as part of growing the innovation economy.

What will recipients get?

There are 2 tiers of funding for projects with a duration of up to 3 years:

  • Tier 1 — for applicants in South East Queensland, grants of $500,000 – $1.5 million (excluding GST) are available, where projects have a matched funding (1:1 ratio) from the applicant/partners.
  • Tier 2 — for applicants in regional Queensland, grants of $250,000 – $1.5 million (excluding GST) are available, where projects have 25% matched funding from the applicant/partners.

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible for funding, at the time of application you must be:

  • a Queensland-based organisation
  • registered for GST and have an ABN
  • collaborating with at least one Queensland-based research organisation.
