Startup Onramp – helping Queensland-based female founders to build global companies

Meet Startup Onramp, a Round 1 program provider of the Advance Queensland Accelerating Female Founders program. With their years of experience guiding thousands of aspiring entrepreneurs to success, we’re excited to have them onboard supporting our Queensland female business founders.

Startup Onramp Founder and CEO Colin Kinner is one of Australia’s leading experts in startup methodology. Colin and his team are passionate about helping founders to reach their goals by building knowledge and skills, leveraging valuable networks and by learning from the experiences of others.

Over the past six years Startup Onramp has created a range of startup programs, including pre-accelerators and accelerators, online startup courses and individual mentoring for founders of startups and scaleups.

We asked Colin how Startup Onramp will assist female founders on their business innovation journeys.

What services will be offered by Startup Onramp to Female Founders under the Accelerating Female Founders program?

If you’re a female startup founder anywhere in Queensland, or working on an idea that could be a scalable startup, you’re eligible to apply for heavily subsidised places on four Startup Onramp programs:

  1. A free mentoring session with an experienced startup mentor to access expert advice on your startup and connect with other founders

  1. Founders Course – a practical, online video-based course that teaches all the essential skills you need to succeed as a founder. The course will be delivered by a diverse group of experienced founders, investors and mentors

  1. Pre-Accelerator – an 8-week online incubator for startups that are ready to launch and grow. It’s Australia’s leading program for early-stage startup founders and completed by over 500 entrepreneurs from all around Australia.

  1. Investment-Readiness coaching – expert advice to get your startup investment-ready and connect with the right investors. Learn from founders who have raised capital, and investors who have backed female-led ventures.

How will the funding from Advance Queensland support your organisation to deliver these initiatives?

Support from the Accelerating Female Founders Program is making it possible for us to offer a free mentoring session to any female founder in Queensland, and heavily subsidised places in our other programs. For regional founders we have additional discounts to make places in the programs as accessible as possible.

How will your initiative benefit and assist Queensland Female Founders in innovative businesses or the innovation ecosystem?

We’re setting out to help female founders access the skills, connections and support they need to build a successful company.

Our programs give female founders insights into the actions that are likely to lead to success, as well as helping them avoid the pitfalls often encountered by first-time entrepreneurs. We complement these structured programs with coaching and mentoring based on our experience working with hundreds of startup founders. Plus, they can access a deep network of successful founders, mentors and investors.

We’re also helping ambitious female founders to overcome funding barriers by tapping into the experience and networks of founders who’ve raised funding rounds, and investors who’ve backed female-led ventures.

If you are a female business founder or owner, find out how to apply for a free one-hour Startup Onramp mentoring or subsidised development session – hurry, as places are limited and filling up fast.
