About the program

The Accelerating Female Founders Program funds organisations to deliver business support initiatives which aim to grow Queensland innovation driven enterprises (IDEs) founded and led by women. These initiatives will assist the founders to take their IDEs to the next stage, create connections, and access opportunities that will continue to provide impact to the founder(s) and their business beyond the duration of the program.

If you are a female founder looking for business support, please subscribe to the Advance Queensland newsletter to be notified when Round 2 programs become available.

Funding and support

Grants from $50,000 to $200,000 will be available for activities to be delivered within a maximum period of 24 months.

Applications are sought from organisations aiming to deliver ONE of the following categories of business support to a cohort of innovative female founders:

  • Category 1:  Early stage initiatives with one or more of the following components: Incubator, pre-accelerator, startup business development acumen, mentoring and advocacy.

For Round 2 of the program, applications which propose initiatives specifically targeting Indigenous, regional, youth (18-25 years), or other identified diverse groups, will be highly regarded.

Please note - the program aims to fund a diverse suite of business support initiatives.
