In the face of the COVID-19 crisis, two Regional Startup Hubs Support Program recipients are using innovation to respond to the immediate needs of our healthcare sector.

CLS Ability Enterprises Ltd and the Peregian Digital Hub and have temporarily repurposed some of their business operations to help create Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in response to urgent Health sector supply needs.

Bundaberg based company CLS Ability Enterprises Ltd (AT_Makerspace) in the Wide Bay Burnett are building face shields for Health care workers using various designs and materials, including a mask made of ABS and designed by Jabiru Aircrafts.

The Peregian Digital Hub on the Sunshine Coast has temporarily re-tooled as a manufacturing facility to aid in the production of protective equipment for essential workers on the frontline. While the project is well underway with six digital printers already operating, they are still seeking additional equipment to meet production demand. If you can assist in loaning Prusa (brand) 3d printers, contact the hub directly.
