Fire Air Traffic Management Trial Phase 1.4Noosa Shire CouncilPhase 1.4 of the Fire Air Traffic Management (FATM) Trial aims to safely integrate crewed aircraft (helicopters, planes) and drones in the same airspace over a fire, using technology to enhance current firefighting methods. The goal is to develop an Alternative Means of Compliance (AltMOC) for this purpose in a Fire Traffic Area (FTA). This project consists of conducting a flight test trial which introduces a crewed, firefighting aeroplane into the fire traffic area alongside drones and crewed helicopters, as well as supporting and assessing the operational deployment of the technologies and procedures previously developed in the FATM trials overhead a genuine fire, outside of a test environment.
