United States Market Access Program

Up to 10 high-growth tech start-ups will get the chance to transform their business into a global leader, thanks to a new program being run by Logan City Council.

The Council is calling for applications for its United States Market Access Program.

The program is designed to accelerate the time to market and reduce the risk of scaling into American markets.

Logan-based start-up incubator coLab Growth Hub is running the program in partnership with the Los Angeles non-for-profit Network for Global Innovation.

The successful applicants will undertake a rigorous market leadership and pitch accelerator program providing them with the tools and confidence they need to venture into the lucrative US market – including one-on-one coaching and workshops with market leadership and sales experts.

In April 2023, one company will earn a flight to the United States for meetings with Trade and Investment Queensland and a network of funders, innovators, and Fortune 500 strategics from across the US.

Besides the City of Logan, the program is supported by Trade and Investment Queensland and AusIndustry’s Entrepreneur’s Program.

The US is Queensland’s ninth biggest export destination, with exports in 2021 totalling $2.4 billion.

Logan City Council established coLab Growth Hub in 2021 in collaboration with Logan-based global edu-tech company Go1.

The council is looking to develop the region into a major innovation and start-up hub – including planning an innovation precinct in Underwood and Slacks Creek to house a range of cutting-edge industries, including biotech, medical laboratories, computer component manufacturing, and aeronautical engineering.

Applications for the United States Market Access Program close on Wednesday 1 July 2022.
