Lilley Place providing the best patient care in mental health services, no matter the location

There is no denying that 2020 has been a year unlike any other.

The COVID-19 pandemic has not only taken a toll on those who have contracted the virus, but it has also impacted on the mental health and well-being of Queenslanders – and communities across the globe.

Female-founded, Lilley Place are one Queensland business committed to providing the best client care in mental health services.

Their team of highly qualified, dedicated professionals provides in-person psychological support at their Indooroopilly premises or at a patient’s own home – and for Queenslanders living in rural areas, Lilley Place offers Remote Therapy services via Video and phone consultation.

Lilley Place Founder, Dr Peta Lilley, said the opportunities Advance Queensland provides female founders are vital in helping Queensland businesses grow.

“I am immeasurably grateful for the support we’ve received from Advance Queensland that has enabled Lilley Place's growth,” Dr Lilley said.

“This support has helped us to innovate and expand our services, it has enhanced our business literacy skills and assisted us to create more training and employment positions at our clinic.

“The expansion of our new clinic and administrative headquarters in 2019 meant we were able to increase our physical space and incorporate technology to provide innovative service delivery options to clients.

“This has enabled us to launch new initiatives to provide creative psychological solutions, meaning we are able to help the broader community and support even more Queenslanders to feel better, regardless of where they live across the state.”

Lilley Place participated in the Australian Centre for Business Growth Program thanks to an Advance Queensland subsidy and have also taken part in various Female Founders networking programs – something Dr Lilley encourages all female founders to embrace.

“Curiosity, ongoing learning and upskilling is vital to success and while it may at times be confronting and challenging, for me, it has been equally inspiring and transformational and helped form the foundation for innovation and business growth.

“I would encourage all female founders to apply for Advance Queensland programs as they provide access to incredible knowledge, learning, professional networks and support that goes beyond standard training and tertiary courses and that can really accelerate business innovation and growth.”
