77VC. The 77 Venture Challenge is a 12 week program designed for frontier tech ventures preparing to raise pre-seed, seed or pre-series A funding. It provides founders with highly customised support to accelerate their journey from being pitch ready to investment ready. Frontier Tech. The 77 Venture Challenge is for ventures bringing frontier technologies to the world, including Artificial Intelligence, Internet-of-Things, Robotics and more. The program is particularly focussed on founders transforming industrial sectors, including resources, construction, agriculture, infrastructure, manufacturing, utilities and related verticals. Post Accelerator. The 77 Venture Challenge supports ventures that have already participated in a traditional early stage accelerator program, developed a pilot product and/or recently entered the market. The program’s structure emulates an investment deal process with one major exception - founders will receive constant feedback and full transparency from the 77 Partners team, allowing them to understand how a prospective investor actually evaluates their venture and how best to prepare for fundraising. World Class. Over the course of the program, each venture receives regular one-on-one sessions with 77 Partners, meetups with other ventures in the cohort, and an opportunity to hear from high level, international founders and investors including unicorn level startups and top level funds. All meetings and sessions are online. In between these sessions, each startup works at its own pace to iterate and refine key investment items with ongoing feedback from 77 Partners. VC+. By the end of the program, at least one venture is offered an investment from 77 Partners of at least $100,000, and a range of business services from program supporters (eg. legal, accounting) each valued at up to $10,000. Any venture that receives capital from 77 Partners joins the 77 Partners’ fund portfolio and continues to receive high levels of support from 77 Partners as ongoing venture partners. Community. 30 ventures have completed the 77 Venture Challenge since 2020, and now anchor our 77 Founders(opens in new tab) community. Ventures don’t have to pay money or issue equity in order to participate in the 77 Venture Challenge. The program has been supported by Advance Queensland, SoftBank and several business service providers. It will run again in Spring 2023 for the next 10 ventures, with support also from the Australian Government. Execute. The next cohort for the 77 Venture Challenge runs in Spring 2023, from Tuesday 5th September to Tuesday 28th November.
