Brisbane based special-effects firm taking the world by storm

Alt.vfx is a visual effects company that has taken the advertising world by storm, continually picking up an enviable collection of industry awards.

The Brisbane-based company founded by Colin Renshaw and Tekeshi Takada in 2011, was virtually formed overnight from the desire to differentiate themselves from every other post-production house in Australia.

Colin and Tekeshi's business model reflects the fast-paced and changing post-production market. By embracing new workflows and the latest technology, Alt.vfx have attracted employees who are the best in the business, and now have a needs-based, enthusiastic, fluctuating employee base. This resulted in a work environment, both culturally and environmentally, that Colin and Tekeshi are excited to be a part of.

Alt.vfx have solidified themselves as a market leader by being seen as an innovative ‘game changer’ in the way they think, but also how they approach new challenges.

The company prides themselves on their collaborative approach from start to finish, working directly with their clients as well as software delivery companies to develop needs-specific VFX tools. This has resulted in growth not only in Australia, but also in international markets including the United States, New Zealand, India, Japan and Taiwan.

Alt.vfx have recently taken out the Creative Industries Export Award as well as clean sweep of the 2015 Brisbane Advertising and Design Club awards for their work with Pepsi, Skoda and Optus. This is in addition to their breakout success with the Toohey’s Nocturnal Migration campaign. Alt.vfx have also recently opened an office in Sydney.
