On 8 September 2019 Binna Burra Lodge, one of Australia’s pioneering ecotourism businesses, was devastated from a major bushfire. Join us as we hear from Steve Noakes, Chairman of the Board, Binna Burra, as he shares his story about resilience, disaster recovery and his and the board’s vision for rebuilding an iconic and popular tourist destination.

Situated within the World Heritage Listed Lamington National Park, the historic lodge has been a destination for locals and tourists for 86 years. Now the board and management are faced with the task of reinventing the spirit of Binna Burra and in doing so, have a unique opportunity to incorporate modern day concepts of sustainability and changing climate conditions.

Time: 7.00am to 9.00am

Cost:

  • AICD Members: A$55.00 per person
