Queensland-Cooper Hewitt Fellowships

Supports a registered Queensland school teacher to visit the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum in New York to gain experience in classroom, community and online strategies for delivering quality design education.

What's important

  • Applications are open until 8 June 2020.
  • Funding up to $20,000 (excluding GST) to visit for 8 to 12 weeks.


The Fellow must be:

  • an Australian citizen or have Australian residency
  • residing and working in Queensland
  • a currently registered, practicing school teacher in Queensland (Prep-Year 12).

Funding recipients

Recipients in 2015–2018 have been supported to visit the Cooper Hewitt Education Department in New York to learn more about the use of design in education.
