Who is it for?

Queensland-based innovation-driven organisations with the capability, experience and networks to design and deliver high-quality innovation events within Queensland.

Applicants must demonstrate relevant experience, local or regional ecosystem links, and the capacity to deliver the proposed event within the required timeframe.

What are the grant/program objectives?

The Innovation Events Fund supports innovation driven organisations to deliver events that explore new or emerging innovations, opportunities or services. The Fund aims to build the skills, capabilities, knowledge and connections of event participants, while contributing to the growth of Queensland’s innovation sector.
Through the Fund, the Queensland Government aims to establish a strong, inclusive, and mature innovation ecosystem that delivers prosperity to the state.

What are the grant/program goals?

Funded activities may include events that:

  • explore or showcase new or emerging innovations, products or service offerings
  • build skills, and pathways to support innovation, commercialisation, technology adoption or new ways of working
  • encourage engagement and connections between innovators, industry, investors, researchers, and other ecosystem participants
  • foster Indigenous-led innovation and entrepreneurship models for real world outcomes in communities.

What will recipients get?

  • Funding between $10,000 and $25,000 (excluding GST).
  • Funding will cover up to 50% of the total cash expenditure budget, with the remainder to be matched by the applicant.

  • Attend the Innovation Events Fund Webinar via Humanitix – Register for this event being held at 12:30pm Wednesday, 25 February 2026
  • Applications open 9:00am Friday, 13 February 2026.
  • Submit your application online via the SmartyGrants portal by 10:00am Monday, 16 March 2026.

Late or incomplete applications will not be considered. Funding is limited and subject to a competitive assessment process.
