Community Digital Champions

Applications now open

Provides opportunities for volunteers to share their experiences and encourage others in the community to explore the benefits that digital technologies can bring to their lives.

What's important

  • Round 3, 2017 nominations are now open.
  • Champions may represent any industry sector, community or demographic group in Queensland.
  • There are no age restrictions, however people under 18 must provide parent or guardian consent.
  • Nominees must be able to demonstrate the social or community benefit of their activities.

Eligiblity

We are looking for:

  • inspiring individuals of any age or demographic
  • Queenslanders from any industry sector,  community or demographic group
  • champions who are keen to encourage others to embrace digital technologies
  • people who will share their digital stories, experience and knowledge with Queenslanders and other champions.

Nominations can be submitted online. Nominees can start the process, however a nominating group will need to support the nomination.

Round 2, 2017 Digital Champions

Twenty nine champions were selected during round 2 of the 2017 Digital Champions.

The 29 champions work in varied areas including teaching, community services, manufacturing, small business, finance and not-for-profit.

The champs span a number of Queensland regions including the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, West Moreton, Fraser Coast, Central West Queensland and Far North Queensland. Meet our latest Community Digital Champions

About Community Digital Champions

Community Digital Champions help to inspire people in their communities to embrace digital technologies bs, increasing their digital awareness, adoption and online participation.

If you’re chosen to be a digital champion, you’ll be in the role for 12 months, voluntarily sharing your knowledge and experiences with your local community. You will have the opportunity to promote your voluntary activities, and network and collaborate with other champions.
