Innovation and Market Insight program
The Innovation and Market Insight program is designed to enable Queensland startups, business leaders, investors and support organisations to undertake accelerated learning by engaging with world leading companies, venture capital and angel investors, accelerator programs and startup systems.
This program will see high profile entrepreneurs and investors 'in residence' to mature and engage our local businesses, as well as continuing opportunities for local entrepreneurs to visit overseas markets and hot spots, such as the recent Startup Catalyst visit to Silicon Valley by 25 local startups.
International Innovation Partnerships program
The International Innovation Partnerships program will establish medium to long-term strategic relationships with global research or innovation organisations. The Create Queensland partnership with YouTube is the first collaboration under this category.
The program provides opportunities to build joint investments with leading global research institutions or universities to support collaborative research and development. The recent extension of Queensland-Chinese Academy of Sciences Collaborative Science Fund aims to foster collaborations and industry networks in the areas of agricultural biotechnology and food research.
The Commercialisation Partnership Program is an agreement with the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST). It will provide 3-month placements for entrepreneurs from innovative Queensland organisations in one of MOST’s 6 major incubators.
