Brisbane design house making SafePassage in US during COVID-19

Thu, 11/06/2020 - 08:00

As workers start to return to their offices, a Brisbane industrial design house is ensuring life in the workplace is a safer space to be for all staff, no matter their needs.

Ember Design House have been working with a US manufacturer to develop a COVID-safe solution that allows people to safely open and close doors in the workplace without using their hands.

Solutions for minimising contact with door handles is something many businesses have investigated during the COVID-19 pandemic. Few however, have the durability and innovative, inclusive design of the Ember Design House, SafePassage product.

SafePassage fits on most door handles, is accessible for people with disabilities and is made to last not just during the pandemic, but even in the months and years to come when things have settled but workers still need to take precautions.
The innovative design will go into production in the United States for American companies to use, in the coming weeks.

Congratulations to this homegrown startup!
